1 T. butter 4 C. chopped sweet onion (about 2 large) 1/2 C. apple cider vinegar 1/2 C. fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth 1 T. brown sugar 1/2 t. kosher salt 1/2 t. ground black pepper
Melt butter in a large skill over medium heat. Add onion to pan; cook 15 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Add vinegar and remaining ingredients; simmer 15 minutes or until liquid evaporates. Goes nicely over meat dishes or served with baguettes as an appetizer 10 servings: 43 calories, 1.2g fat, 8g carbs, 130mg sodium
