2 lbs. carrots 3 T. unsalted butter 3 T. brown sugar 1 T. grated orange rind 1/2 C. toasted blanched slivered almonds
1. Cut carrots lengthwise into 2" slivers and steam until barely tender 2. In medium pan, combine butter, orange rind and half the almonds. Stir to blend 3. Add carrots and simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently 4. Sprinkle with remaining almonds
