Jewish Cream Cheese Cookies

Ingredients
1 (6 oz.) wedge of cream cheese
1 C. butter (or shortening)
1 C. sugar
2 C. flour - sifted with salt
1/2 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
jelly, nut or fruit
Directions
1. Add ingredients in the above order to an electric mixer; mix well.
2. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.  Hollow center and fill with jelly, nuts or fruit.  Use fork dipped in flour to flattem.  
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes
