Pasta Fagioli

Ingredients
2 tsp. EVOO
1 C. diced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
½ lb. Italian sausage 
1½ cups water
1, 16 oz. can chicken broth
1, 15 oz. can Great Northern beans, drained
1, 15-oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
½ cup Ditalini or other tiny pasta, uncooked
¼ tsp. freshly ground pepper
Salt to taste
2 Tbl. chopped fresh parsley
Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Heat olive oil in large pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and sausage. Sauté 4 – 5 minutes until onion is tender and sausage is browned.
Add water, broth, beans, tomatoes, salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Add pasta, cover and reduce heat to medium low and cook 9 – 10 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stir in parsley and serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
