1/2 C. (4oz.) butter
1/2 C. (3-1/4 oz.) Vegetable shortening
3/4 C. (5-1/4 oz.) granulated sugar
3/4 C. (6 oz.) brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
2 large eggs
2 C. (8-1/2 oz.) All-purpose flour
2 C. 10-grain baking blend
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 (2 oz.) C. milk
1 C. chopped walnuts or raisins
Cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs and beat until mixture is light. Combine dry ingredients; add 1 C. to butter mixture. Blend in milk and then remaining dry ingredients. Fold in nuts or raisins.
Drop by teaspoon onto greased baking sheets and bake in preheated 375 degree oven for about 12 minutes, or until tops are just browning.
