1 lb. extra firm tofu, drained and pressed
6 T. Sake
6 T. Soy Sauce
2 t, dark sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 scallions, chopped
2 T. vegetable oil
1 t. cornstarch
1. Cut tofu into 6 equal 1/2 inch strips.
2. Mix together sake, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic and scallions. Marinade tofu for about 20 minutes.
3. Saute tofu over medium heat in vegetable oil until brown on both sides.
4. Add leftover marinade to skillet and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 2 minutes and thicken sauce with cornstarch.
