4 salmon steaks or fillets (about 6 oz each)
1/4 C. butter
1/4 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 T. lemon juice
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
crushed red pepper flakes, optional
1. In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients except salmon and melt.
2. Marinate salmon in glaze for 1 hour. Arrange salmon on a lightly greased broiler pan. Brush with glaze.
3. Broil 5-6 inches from heat for 8-10 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily, brushing occasionally with remaining glaze.
4. Place salmon on a serving platter and spoon any remaining glaze over them.
